Constanta Hotels/Hostels Constanta accommodations runs the gamut from crappy to over-priced, with little in between. However, there is one saving grace for econo-travelers; this is one of the few cities in Europe where the small legion of people - usually pensioners with spare rooms - meeting every arriving train hawking cheap accommodations can be trusted – but only so far. The prices can't be beat (ranging from 20 to 40 lei or 5.75-11.50 euros) for a room - not per person! The rooms are always plain, with shared bath, but acceptable, though privacy is non-existent. That said, staying in private homes can be a delicate deal. Keep three things in mind; agree on a price before getting in a cab, never hand over any money until you’ve seen the room and be extra attentive to security, including the prying eyes and fingers of your host! For those with tents, the nearest camping ground is north of Mamaia. All properties listed here include breakfast unless otherwise noted. Three Stars Oxford
