The Belgian charity Opération Villages Roumains has helped Gârda de Sus establish its own agrotourism scheme whereby tourists can stay in their homes. Alternatively, in Arieseni, ask for Marta Maghiar (Tel. +40 (0) 744 278 219) at house No 13. If a house has a sign reading ‘Retea Turistica’ in the window it means they have rooms to rent.
