Radauti, Marginea and Vama Hotels/Hostels
It’s worth spending a night or two in the area to
soak in small town life, relax, tour the monasteries and/or do a little
low-impact hiking. Wild camping is possible in the field across the
stream from Moldovita Monastery, as well as along the road leading away
from Moldovita. Homes with cazare (rooms to rent) signs abound.

up the road opposite the monastery.

In Vama. Follow the signs with painted eggs to this large, two house
property, 250 meters off the main road. Among the property's attractions
are a massive painted egg exhibit, with samples from around the world,
and a small ethnographic museum. Rooms are rustic and simple, but clean,
with shared bath. Breakfast, dinner and Internet included! The grounds
are filled with flowers and a new covered terrace with grill is available
for cookouts. Only Romanian and French spoken.

This is a seemingly out of place ultra modern and very comfortable villa
about half way between Frasin and Vama, near Humor and Voronet Monasteries.
