Tulcea Hotels/Hostels

No camping is allowed within Tulcea’s city limits. However, there are many areas where wild camping is permitted on the banks of the canal within a few kilometers of the city - ask at the Information and Ecological Education Centre (Tel. +40 (0) 519 214; www.deltaturism.ro; address Str Portului 34A) located on the waterfront for details.

The formerly stout boat hotel (‘boatel’) industry, with multi-day Delta tours, was going through a lull at the time of writing. Keep an eye out for new companies opening to fill the void.

Hotel Delta
Instant online booking
Re-enter the modern world at Hotel Delta after you and nature have had your quality time. The building is a city landmark of ugliness, but inside it boasts some of the most luxurious rooms in the Northern Dobrogea region. There’s a restaurant, a large, modern bar, heated swimming pool and a well-equipped fitness centre. Internet, air con, and wheelchair accessible.
