Apuseni Mountains Accommodations in Gârda de Sus

The village of Gârda de Sus lies in the Aries River valley in the Apuseni Mountains.

Arieseni, about 8km away, is a village renowned for its traditional folk customs and wooden church. Two kilometers west of Arieseni, on the border of the Bihor and Alba Counties, is a 753m-long ski slope ( open from December to May), signposted ‘Teleschi Vârtop’.

From Gârda de Sus, hikers can head north to the Padis Plateau. A trail marked by blue stripes (five-six hours) leads from the village to Cabana Padis.
